Think in English or think English?

Many of the perfectionists are absolutely madly in love with the idea of thinking in English. They think that if they will think in English they will speak better. Nope, sorry but it is not true or possible. Thinking in English is exactly like thinking in your own native language, there's no difference. If you can't speak or make yourself understood in your own language don't budder too much in thinking you'll manage that in English.

Even if it is not so important there is a way that comes in my mind now: try to exercise each day- maybe the time spent in a bathroom or wonder in a mirror- the thinking in English, relax, do your thing and switch the command on English. At first it's going to be harder but in time you'll get used to it. Try when relaxing half an hour to remember some fave lyrics from the song you love or even better when composing a business letter to focus on what you want to say finding the right words directly in English.

I would have to say that it is compulsory to first think English (anyway you want to understand this). Yes, think English, think every step and get used to it, assimilate it. Some tips can be found here (be very careful not everything written on internet is true or completely associated with your mentality or method of learning, or maybe you want to try using this. As long as you hear English thoughts, ideas and dreams it will come to you. The important thing is not to make an obsession or a torture of it, it's not a talent, it's not magic it's not for beginners (you cannot think in English when the only words known are "hello, my name is") and it's not impossible. Think English to think in English!
